Summer is in full swing, and I have a lot of cherries to consume. When it’s not summer, I can buy a bag of frozen ones from Costco with pits removed so I can still have this delicious smoothie. It’s one of my favorites.
Anyway, I use a super handy Oxo cherry pitter, which is probably the only kitchen tool I have that serves one odd purpose. It’s a fun toy. It’s not a necessity, but it is dishwasher safe and I use it a few times a year, so it was worth the $10 for me.
1 orange (skin and seeds removed)
1 cup cherries
1 cup plain almond milk
1 T honey (more if using homemade almond milk)
2 cups ice
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
some spinach (optional)
Slowly increase to Level 8 in your Vitamix and stop when desired consistency (30 seconds). Serves 2.
